I have a 2000 S80 T6 that has been perfect for 84,000 miles now. But recently, about a half mile after really stepping on the gas, the engine started sputtering and a message read "Reduced Power" with no check engine light or other warning. I pulled to the side of the highway and couldn't get the engine over 1800 RPMs. I shut off the engine and it wouldn't start for a minute or two and then fired right up and drove as if nothing happened. This has happened twice, now. It was on the same tank of gas, but I doubt that had anything to do with it. I've heard this car has a problem with the fuel pump gasket and I think mine needs to be replaced. Is it possible that when I stepped on the gas that some air got sucked in to the fuel line through this gasket?
