S80 T6 Engine surge / Tach Jumping S80

I have a 00 S80 T6 with 57k miles. I am noticing a surge in the engine and the tach is jumping when I give fill acceleration. It feels almost as the turbo is kicking in and then cutting off over and over again. This usually only happens at higher speeds 40mph+. I have read other post and think I might need a trans flush and or ecu software update. Is anybody else having the same problem or might know what the problem is?
