hey yall. i just came across a problem in my car that started quite suddenly. yesterday afternoon driving home i noticed that the gas pedal was sticking while out all the way. when you would press it, it would take some pressure then break free like something was holding it. odd thing is, it was never the same stickiness. sometimes it would be a light tap and sometimes it would take some good pressure to get it to pop loose. this of course would rev the engine too high and give the car a jump. i thought there was something on the pedal that was causing it to stick but failed to look. that would be the obvious answer.
now for the kicker. this morning i was paying attention to it at different speeds and i noticed something. it doesnt happen at low speeds (under 15). from a standstill its either nonexistant or very light. however, when i get up to 50 or 60 it will vary between moderate or hard stickiness. i have no idea whats causing it anymore. also, when the car is off, the pedal is light and you cant really tell that its sticking if at all.
any help is appreciated. thanks yall.
