Blower is now a 'outboard engine' V70-XC70

Well, on the way in this AM my A/C and heat blower motor now sounds like an outboard boat engine when it is on medium to high! Is it shot or is it just in need of greasing? Is the 850 procedure on Bay 13 on how to get at it from the passenger side glove box the same? Any cost ideas if a dealer does it? How long before it grenaids?
