Leather problems

I have a 2001 V79 with leather seats. I have 24000 miles and, for the most part, have had no problems except with the seats. I've noticed on the driver's seat that the leather is wearing away in certain places. The color is light grey and the worn areas are black. The dealer had a leather tech "paint" the worn places but after a while,it wears off.

I had a similar problem with a 98 Lexus SC300 and after trying to fix it in the same manner, the dealer finally replaced the seat with new leather.

Anyone have a similar situation and what suggestions do you have?
