wheel size/lug pattern for '01 V70 T5

I'll bet this question has been asked a million times here, but I can't find an answer. I need snowtires and wheels for a 2001 V70 T5. Tire rack says I need 16 inch wheels/tires for a T5, but all the other V70s list 15 inch wheels. Can I run 15-inch wheels without a problem? (In fact, I'd guess the 15s would be better as snowtire wheels.)

One more question...I've been looking at used wheel/ tire combos on the internet. Do all 5-lug Volvos have the same lug pattern, or am I correct in remembering that the lug patterns changed in '01? Thanks in advance for all your insights and answers. JK
