New to forum, oil change questions V70-XC70

I am new to this forum, with a 2001 V70XC.

Just did my first oil and filter change at 19000 miles. Dealer did the first 2 changes.

I switched from regular to synthetic mobil 1 5W30. But, I did not change the oil in the oil cooler, since I don't know how to get to it. I know thats an extra quart or so.

So I know theres a quart of old regular oil mixed with the new synth. Is it right to assume that if I change my oil frequently and regularly with synth, I will eventually get the proportion of regular oil down to almost nothing?

Is changing the oil in the oil cooler part of the routine oil change schedule?

Can anyone tell me how to change the oil in the cooler?
