Tranny morning sickness when cold 850 1995

I"ve got a 95 850T Wagon, treated it like a baby since we bought it brand new. Always dealer serviced.

On cold mornings, the tranny will not shift out of first until warmed up. Warmer mornings, no problem at all.

Dealer replaced the gear selector switch that lets you pick econ, sport, or winter. Tranny also flushed.

Any ideas? One tranny guy in town said something about a temp sensor in the tranny that may be to blame.

Any advice will help.
