The heated seats in my 850 are not working (big surprise).
The leather is also well worn, and the Drivers seat back motor makes a noise but does not move the seat back.
On the Passenger side, all functions of the power seat work except for the memory (clicks when buttons are pushed, but no action).
I've read online the extensive process for removing the upholstery in order to either replace heating elements, or for fixing the seat back problem.
In the mean time, I have found dual power seats fully functioning with immaculate leather from a vehicle which was NOT equipped with the heated seat function.
Questions
1. If I were to install power seats from a vehicle not originally equipped with the heating elements into my 850 which is fully wired for heated seats, could I simply add the heating elements to the "new" seats and have them work as heated?
In other words, do all seats have a place for the heating elements to sit?
2. Besides the "elements" is there some type of wiring harness IN ADDITION TO the elements which would be needed for the new seats, and could I butcher that off the old ones?
