A friend of mine happened by and gave me a can of BG Fuel Injection System Cleaner. My problem is that I don't know how to disable the fuel system and hook it up to the fuel rail, etc. etc. I don't want to screw things up (acutally somewhere on this board I have read that there is a good chance to screw things up as a do-it-yourselfer with this fuel injection cleaning hooking up the fuel rail). I am wondering if I can just pour the can into the fuel tank, and use it as if it were a can of BG 44k. My idea is to keep only 1/4 tank when mixing this stuff in. My logic, if there is one, is to clean the intake ports and injectors with a dose of high concentration FI system cleaner, not much different from hooking it up to the fuel rail. The only difference is that it is no longer a high pressure purge through the injectors. Any advice or warning?
