Vadis system... what is it? S40-V40

I was looking online for a fog light assembly, full package. Went to one of the sites shown up in the banner ads above. The description is as follows:

"Fog light kit, complete kit. Genuine Volvo accessory with instructions. Requires enabling by Volvo dealer Vadis system."

What is the Vaids system?
