Pirelli P6000 Tires V70-XC70

Just picked up a V70 Titanium with Pirelli P6000 performance tires. With the first snow in Canada, I could barely get out of my driveway. The Volvo website states that the car should come with P6 all season tires ( any better? ). I have been driving my 99 s70 with Michelin MXV4' for many years with no problem ( winter and summer).

Any suggestions?
