850 jacking point

I am slowly getting my new 1993 850gle into shape. This weekend I noticed that one of the factory jack points is bent out of shape. I looked at it closely and it appears to be a pretty weak design. Is it possible/worthwhile to fix these, or should I just get a scissors jack and keep it in the trunk?
