Spoiler Removal 850

I looked at a 1993 850 GLT today that is marred (by my reckoning anyway) by one of those ridiculous spoilers. I don't mean just the little "lip" thing. I mean the full elevated job. Is it removable without leaving evidence? There appears to be a plastic pad sandwiched between the spoiler (where it attachs to the trunk) and the car trunk. Is it glued on, or bolted/screwed though the sheet metal itself?
