'01 V70XC grille on a '99 V70R? V70-XC70

I like the more "mouthy" look of the V70XC grille as opposed to the standard vertical chrome bar grill, but would an '01 V70XC grille fit on a '99 V70R? I know that a '98 - '00 V70XC grille would work, but '01 was the year of the major body design change in the V70's, and I can't quite tell if the grille remained the same.
