cabin filter revisited

Another two questions (I promise the last) on cabin or pollen filters for the 850. I removed the cowling and have an oval plastic insert but no filter in place in the "hole" that leads down to the blower fan. Does the filter fit inside this oval insert or is there another piece necessary to hold the filter? Anyone know an online source for these or is this a "dealer only" item? My dealer tends to be a thief so I avoid him if at all possible. Many thanks in advance
