ECU problem 94 850 Turbo Wagon 850

Out of the blue the check engine light and shift light started flashing at the same time. I read out the codes and it said ECU memory loss. After resetting the codes the shift light went out but the check engine light comes on after about 6 secconds after starting. A mehanic friend took the car to the dealer and his computer there said it could not make contact with the car's computer and they tried a new ECU and it did the same thing. Now I need to have the car inspected and I'm really stuck. Any ideas?? Thanks for the help!
