Rear main seal oil leak - DIY job? 850 1994

OK, I've got the disease. 1994 850 turbo wagon with 170K miles, pretty good rear main seal oil leak. Anyone out there try the repair yourself? I've got a Haynes manual and all the hand tools, but also lots of questions. Is it a garage floor job, no hoist? Do I need a transmission jack? Any other parts I should get beyond the seal? Any special Volvo tools needed? All advice and assistance gratefully accepted. Thanks.
