My car runs 100% COLD?! 850

Hey Everyone,

I have a 95, 850 N/A and my thermometer says that I am running completely cold on the freeway, or even in the city if its cold enough, assuming the car is not idle. The only time the heater really warms up is if I am sitting idle. I'm assuming this is the thermostat? The heat is only tepid on the freeway on a 50 degree day, and the gauge will be buried at the bottom as if the car were turned OFF. Is the the thermostat? Would a bad thermostat affect the HEATER? Any info would be greatly appreciated.
