check engine light on 850 1996

I have a 1996 850 GLT and the check engine light came on. I took it to autozone and they told me that it was a code 442. What is this code and how much does it cost to get it fixed? And also, what is wrong with the car that made the engine light come on? Any help would be appreciated.
