Several years ago I took off the front bumper off my US 97 850 GLT wagon to install fog lights. No problem. The car was prewired, the leads were held by clips to the inside front fender wells. Installed the fog lights and after a very nasty experience with getting the one-inch cube relay module plugged into the relay board under the dash, I got them working. But there were two leads hanging down in front of the radiator that you could see after you took off the bumper--there for some purpose--but I never found out what they were for. Asked Volvo service and drew a blank. I posted it on this board a couple of years ago, and someone wrote back and said it might be for the outside ambient temp gauge, but the car came with the temp gauge already installed. To this day I don't know what those two leads are for. Spotlights for moonlighting Bambi or his big cousin? They didn't seem heavy enough to carry the wattage. Anybody know? Dick
