Replacement lens for 1998 V70 headlamp V70-XC70 1998

My wife's car took a cinder stone in the left headlamp lens. It looks like a kid hit it with a bb gun. Needless to say the dealer will only sell the entire headlamp assembly. I found aftermarket lens on eBay but wanted to know if this had any drawbacks. The aftermarket lens came with a new seal and clips. The dealer wanted $305 for the assembly and the lens is $49.95. Anything I need to be aware of if I go aftermarket? Would I still have to take the entire headlamp assembly apart to change the lens? Any help is greatly appreciated.
