Volvo recalls 105,000 cars

STOCKHOLM -- Volvo Cars is recalling 105,000 cars worldwide because of a problem with the steering system.
The malfunction affects 2004-model S60, S80 and V70 cars, company spokesman Peter Ganjbar said Tuesday.
The problem with ball joints in the steering system hasn't caused any accidents but could affect handling, he said.
The recall by the Swedish unit of Ford Motor Co. includes 30,000 cars in the United States, 17,000 in Sweden, 10,000 in Britain, 9,000 in Germany and 2,400 in Canada.
