Had a little oopsie this weekend 850

Ok, so I went to try and change my thermostat yesterday. Long story short, I didn't read bay13's instructions thoroughly enough and didn't buy a long torx bit. I think I rounded the rear torx bolt a little as a result. So, questions are:

1. Should I try it again with the proper torx bit? Or should I take it in to t shop to avoid any possible complications and further rounding of the bolt.

2. SHould I decide to try again, where does one get a long 40mm torx bit?

Maybe Im being optimistic, but I dont think I rounded it TOO bad, but again, maybe Im being overly optimistic.
