Air pump and Fan Relays 850 1997

Hi:

To-day I noticed something dangling from the front of the car on the left hand (drivers) side.

It was some relays marked fan relay, and the some of the wires appear to be attached to the cap at the end of the air pump that is located under the battery. The little clips that hold the relays up appear to have broken and the weight of the relays appear to have pulled the cap off the end of the air pump.

I don't know how long this condition has existed. No check engine light, except the service one that thinks the car needs an oil change. The car stars and runs fine.

I did see an icicle, there and could see a short 3/4 to 1 inch diameter spring which I removed to avoid loosing it. In this cold weather I did not attempt to do much else.

I have read here, that these pumps can be taken apart, dried out and reinstalled, but am wondering if any other small pieces are missing.

Does anyone have a picture showing the parts of the disassembled air pump?

Thanks.....Hugh
