I'm wondering if anybody has any experience replacing the flap that covers the lock on the trunk lid. As I was opening the lid the other day, I put too much pressure on the thing and it snapped. I called the dealer, and they said the part is around $12, but that it would need to be painted for an additional $25. The thing looks for all the world like a shiny little piece of black plastic, so I'm wondering if there's something I'm missing. If not, is there anyplace online where I could order this from a salvage yard? That just seems like a lot to pay for a 1.5"x2.5" piece of plastic! Thanks for your help!
