? On front wheel bearing procedure???? V70-XC70

OK....pulled the front wheel and looked at the bearing location. Question is, to get at the 4 torx bolts do I have to pop out the lower ball joint and unbolt the spindle from the Mcpherson strut then pull it straight off the spline as an assembly? Looks like a torx socket will hit the side of the CV joint with everything in place? Inputs surely appreciated!
