Taking a long trip. Suggestions for preparing the car? V70-XC70 1998

I have a '98 v70 awd with about 57000 miles, and I'm taking the family down to Myrtle Beach, SC (from VT--about a 2000 mile round trip). I'm wondering what to do about preparing the car for the trip. Is there anything special I should think about? (I've only had the car for about 1 1/2 months and 2500 miles, and haven't had any problems with it yet, though from what I read on this site, they're coming!) Should I change the timing belt/chain before I go, or will driving the old belt to 61,000 miles or so be okay? Any other trouble spots to be proactive about? Thanks for your input, as always!
