ok, my 99 T5 was acting kind of funny, first the check engine light came on, and the n when i got home i turned it off in the garage, when i turned it over again a few min later, it was spitting out black smoke (as it wasn't doing 5 min earlier), and was coughing at idle. this could probably be a number of problems, but would it have anything to do with the ecu upgrade or wastegate adjustment? Also, this may sound stupid to ask, but i ua i have the bsr upgrade and can adjust from factory settings to the upgraded settings using the ppc, should i adjust back or original before taking it to a dealer? (or in for any service?)
