Just got my new replacement battery from dealer this morning. When the car was running, the battery voltage was about 13.70V. When the car is off, the voltage was about 13.18V. Then I forgot to turn off one of the console light for 10 minutes after shut off the car, then the voltage dropped to 12.87V with the car shut off.
My question is the "car running" voltage correct or typical ?? My last battery only last for 4 month (Volvo battery) and the voltage was dropped down to below 10V. By looking at the voltages above, is there any problem with the charging circuit, such alternator or the voltage regulator ??
Thanks,
Ching-Ho Cheng
