V70 Rear Lock Replacement V70-XC70 1998

Right rear door on my 98 V70 won't unlock automatically. Had the right rear window fixed (over $250 bucks at dealer) and less than 1 month later the lock goes. Quoted $230 + labor to replace this part, but I'm hoping a Volvo fan mght be able to guide me to a less expensive part and perhaps a quick lesson on fixing it myself. Thanks in advance!
