Alpine Factory Radio Wiring 850 1994

Hi there,

Thanks in advance for anyone who replies :)

I am trying to connect my pc in the boot to my volvo/alpine sc800 head unit, I want it to connect into the 8 pin CD input at the back. (I only need sound input, not control, that will be from a seperate numeric keypad on my centre console)

1. Is this possible?
2. If so, does anyone have a wiring diagram for the 8 pin CD input, as stated before I only need the pins necessary for sound input?
3. Would it just be a case of selecting `CD` on the head unit and then playing on my pc?
4. The head unit uses (I presume) a line signal for the cd rather than an amplified signal. Would there be any major damage if I had to use an amplified signal?
5. My 850 already has the factory cd cable running to the head unit. Would I be able to cut, strip and use that?
6. Anyone else tried this before? cause im sort of programming/installing this as I go along.
