Driver Side Door V70-XC70 1998

My drivers side door is making a creaking nice when you open it. I took it to a body shop and they told me the weld broke on the door. I need to know if this covered under any type of failed workmanship warranty or corrosion warranty. The car is a 98 and has 61200 miles on it.
