Hello All, 2001 XC-70 51,100 miles
Started the car Saturday morning parked in the garage. Backed it out to finish loading "stuff" for the 2hr mother's day trip. I got back in with everyone loaded and we pulled out of the driveway.
At the first stopsign I looked down at the instrument panel/message display panel and much to my astonishment was looking at a red "low oil Pressure" on the right side and "stop the engine" on the message display.
Shut it down, checked the oil and the sump was full. Restarted the engine and let it idle. No lifter clatter or any unusual noises. At idle, the annunciator came back on. Advanced the throttle slightly and the warning lights went out. Idle, back on.
Bad pressure sender?
How tough is it to change?
