I am working to fix a screaming noise coming from the vicinity of the serpentine belt. I believe the problem is either the pulley on the tensioner assembly or the idler pulley because the noise went away when I removed the belt and ran the motor (for ten seconds) without the belt. I was able to remove the tensioner assembly but can't figure out how to remove the idler pulley from the motor. Can anyone give some advice on this? Also, is the bolt that holds the tensioner pulley to the tensioner assembly a reverse thread? I don't want to break the thing by wrenching in the wrong direction. Your advice will be greatly appreciated.
