My local Volvo dealer has always been great, unlike some others I've seen discussed on the Board. Over the years I've bought three Volvos from them. However, in the last year they have done something strange. The good part is that they replace all tires on all used Volvo's with new ones (unless the ones on are almost new). The strange part is the tires they use. The put on Woosung brand, Dark Horse model tires. I can find virtually nothing on Woosung, other than some business magazine info that calls them a Korean manufacturer of "premium tires."
They seem to perform well in dry conditions, but are suspect on wet roads. Also, I searched all over the tires and can find no temperature or treadwear ratings. They are stamped as Mud & Snow rated tires.
What is the deal? I thought temp & tread ratings were required by NHTSA regulations (USA).
Anyone have any info on these tires????
