I new this would happen.....Update! 850 1994

If any of you remember my post from last week regarding an attempt to get an all wheel alignment from a dealership, until they suggested $800 worth of repairs for replacing ball joints, tie rods and lower bushings and "oh BTW, your left rear tire has a belt that has shifted" before they could even begin an all wheel alignment. Today, I took it to my independent shop who are master Volvo technicians and have worked on my car for years. They found nothing wrong with the front left wheel ball joint, tie rod or bushings, but did find the right ball joint in need of replacement including the tie rod. The right lower bushing was begining to show wear and I told them to go ahead and replace that too. The comment about the rear wheel and the belt shifting....we looked at BOTH rear wheels and couldn't find ANYTHING wrong, we just looked at each other and shook our heads.....sheesh! Total bill for repairs. $318 Cdn!
I then went to an independent shop and had my wheels aligned for $89 Cdn.
All is well.....
