Steel wheel covers 850 1997

Hi, all

Just bought a used '97 850, which came for some reason with winter tires and steel wheels with their covers. I noticed that the wheel covers sat a little funny, but assumed it had to do with the tire size (1856515's). However, I just replaced the tires, on new steel wheels (I'm cheap) with regular sized tires (1956015's) and still notice the weird fit of the covers. The only picture online I could find like the covers I have are on volvoworld, here:

960? wheel

And are captioned there as being from the 960 (?), whoch would explain the weird fit, I guess... The fit is such that they sit outside the wheels, and seem to float over the wheel/tire combination - just a couple of mm's or so, but noticeable.

Any ideas on what the problem might be? Are they maybe installed incorrectly? Or do they look a little odd usually? Should I be "investing" (remember, I'm cheap) in another set, like these?

850 wheel?

Thanks for any advice!
