I am considering buying a used 1997 850 Glt. I have had a 1983 240 and an 1987 240 -loved them both. I keep the cars for at least 10 - 15 years, they have always done great by me. I will have a 10week 50/50 warranty, and wonder if there are any things to be looking for in this model. I have been reading on this model and discovered many problems with the ABS control modular .... is there a way to tell if it has been replaced? Should I be concerned? Also, went for a test drive and the breaks seemed low - they bled them out, said it was because it was just sitting in the lot, and the mechanic ( who went with me for a test drive} said it was common in this model car. It has low milage ( under 60,000)and looks perfect. I know repairs are more costly but I wanted a "newer" car and this one has low mileage. Any thoughts / suggestions / advice for things to ask or look for should I buy this car or things to watch for as the owner?.... thanks ....
