ac lights flashing 850 1997

I have two 1997 850's. One is a GLT s a sedan (80k), the other is a T5 wagon(25k!). I recently installed pollen filters on each. Neither had them previously. The GLT is doing fine, however, the T5 has flashing ac lights. It only happens at start-up. If I turn the ac off and turn it back on, it's good to go. Likewise, at idle, the T5 will start flashing if I switch from fresh air to recirc. Anyone else have this problem?
