Cannot unlock gas lid 850 1992

Hi,

My central locking system (no remote) has stopped working.
I have been managing without it until now - I need to fuel,
but the gas lid is locked. Pulling the wire handle in the
trunk doesn't help; I took off the trunk panels and pulled
the wire with pliers, but the lock doesn't move at all.
I've even tried to connect +/-12V to the contacts of the lock -
nothing happens.

Any ideas?
