Good morning:
Just finished the ABS/Trac fix on my 96 850 Turbo wagon. I sent it out to Victor Rocha in CA and got it back yesterday. I highly recommend him for the job. ( http://home.earthlink.net/~vicrocha/ )
My 'tip' has to do with the E5 socket that is needed to remove it. I spent over a week trying to locate it and finally got it from MAC tools. I went to take the ABS unit off and the socket would not fit!!!!! ( I may have gotten a bad one, still not sure why it did not work?!?!?) Anyway, I was so mad, I went to Autozone and bought an E6 (which can be found just about anywhere) and it worked great!!!! The bolt is not very tight and it came right off (no stripping or even coming close to stripping it). I just wish I did not spend that week looking for an E5 when all I really needed was an E6 ($3.99).
I also wanted to mention that I did the job without removing any other part. It took me less than 10 minutes to remove and put plastic bags around the loose wires, and about 5 minutes to install it.

p.s. I'm still looking for detailed instructions on 'evaporator removal' which is my next project...or is it tranny flush...maybe antifreeze flush...so many projects to get my brick in top running condition...:-)
