My T5 recently was experiencing a problem with #5 misfires on acceleration or at lengthy stops. After replacing the plugs and wires, it once again had its pep back, and for about 2 weeks, everything seemed fine. My fiancee drove it to class and back home one afternoon without a problem, but, that night when she was leaving for work, it wouldn't start. As I checked things over, one of the first things I found was no fire from the coil. I could find no blown fuses in either the main or auxilary panels. Any suggestions? Bad coil? Bad cam sensor? Bad CPU? Anything else that could cause this? How can I check these things? Without the engine running will the OBD II system work?
