Just a few quick questions. I'm experiencing the abs/tracs light going on intermitently problem. It is associated with the grinding/gear noise that is heard when the system tries to apply abs/traction even though i'm sure it is not needed. My question is the following: is it possible this is due to the brake pads/rotors needing to be replaced/serviced and not necessarily the abs control unit? I'm dreading taking it to the dealership and paying huge amounts of money as we will most likely be getting rid of it next spring. Is it safe to assume that a place like Merlin's or CarX would be able to correctly diagnose and fix the problem? Any other suggestions on how i could definetely find out on my own what the cause of the problem is?
