2000 V70 R seemed to be showing all the signs of another failing Throttle module late Tues afternoon,, until I snapped my keys down on the counter at the local Volvo service counter, and told them these we no use to me, and could I arrange a rental through them? They helped with the rental and told me they'd have a look at it first thing in the AM. Called the next morning to tell me the throttle position sensor under the gas pedal was the culprit..a series of 6 or seven codes listed the exact problem, and the extended warrantry would look after it along with the cost of the rental. The guys did OK this time. I'm proud of them. Car runs like a charm....the brief experience reminds me how terrible the seats are in Impalas...soft, deep, no lumbar support at all....no heihgt adjustment....no power.. felt tlike the kind of chair one would sit in when he expected to be offered a drink! The big companies seem to conceentrate all their effort in making the cars smoother-riding, with more insulation form the outside world...and they're sure doing a good job of that.
Felt so good to be properly supported again, as if there were a purpose in my being there...like, to drive a vehicle!!
