Indicator signal not flashing 850

Not sure if this is the case on the outside (its only happened twice - while moving), but the internal flasher showing that the indicator is on did not flash, just lit up.

I turned the signal on and off quite a few times and eventually it righted itself and started flashing.

I imagine its not a big job. What do i need to replace, or clean etc?
