Electric seat strangeness V70-XC70 1998

My wife's V70's driver seat stopped functioning this weekend. I would suspect a fuse, but I can hear the motor try to engage when I push the "Up" button (although the seat doesn't move). Otherwise, nothing happens when I try any other position. Other than the motor itself, any other potential culprits?
