Can I connect a CD player to stock 94 SC-810 audio unit? 850 1994

I have a 1994 N/A 850 with the SC 810 audio unit. It is outfitted with a cassette only, no CD. I'm taking the car on a trip down to Florida and would like to play CDs if possible.

Would I have to replace the existing unit with the Volvo CD changer to play CDs? Or is there another way? Can you use one of the devices that you can connect to a cassette player that allows you to play CDs?

I don't know much about these audio systems so any information/advice would be appreciated.
