Noisy lifters 855T 850 1994

For the 1st 5 minutes or so the car is running, they are pretty loud. Is this just an annoyance or a sign that I should do something? I've always run dino oil, and I'm at 97k. Would a product like Auto Rx help this? Would a switch to synthetic help (always been afraid, perhaps mistakenly so, that if I switched, I'd encounter RMS probs...)?
