problems with cross-drilled discs, greenstuff pads, ss brake line S70 1998

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

I have a 1998 Volvo S70 GLT with 17" VIP rims. Tires are 215/45 Yokohamas.

My old discs and pads were bad so I had some new equipment put in:

4 cross drilled discs from www.eurosporttuning.com
Greenstuff brake pads: Front and Rear
Stainless steel brake lines from IPD

My local shop installed everything, without a hitch, the "tech" used to work for my local Volvo dealership, so I thought I was all set. I broke in the brakes over a period of about three weeks and about 500 miles of driving. I did everything according to break-in instructions to prevent glazing on the pads and warping of the rotors.

Once the brake-in period was over, I drove and brake like normal. The rear pads started to squeak within a few weeks of that. I read the greenstuff website that was normal and would pass over time, and if need be shims were available to have mailed to me for installation.

Anyway, my observations: whenever I braked hard everything would be silent, but slowing down to a stop like at a red light would produce the noise. The noise isn't constant, but it happens at a regular interval when I'm slowing down, like when the disc passes by the pad in a certain place. I looked at the at the discs through the spokes in my rims to see if anything looked strange, nothing that I can tell. One day I was parking my car with the window down and I noticed this clicking noise and, it would only go away when I lightly pushed on the brakes, the sound was coming from the back of the car. It hasn't gone away, and my fuel mileage has been a bit worse since I had the new brakes installed.

I'm wondering if having the stainless steel brake lines have anything to do with? I think that one or both of the rear pads are not letting go of disc completely, when I release the brake pedal, maybe adding to the dust buildup to cause the squeaks and such. Is this an issue with the calipers, brake pads, discs? If so what do you suggest, besides taking it to the shop and have it looked at, which I will do to get to the bottom of this?

Thanks for any and all advice!!!
